How to start a Shrub Club
Steps:
- gather your band of shrub clubbing friends or strangers (optional but makes it much more fun)
- bring enough scissors and a bag to carry snippings (hand pruners are a plus! they're friendlier on
plants)
- walk around the neighborhood and snip away! look for wonderful leaves, flowers, and don't forget about
the
weeds
- if you are snipping from your neighbors, make sure to snip responsibly! don't take more than you need
and always cut cleanly from the branches.
What to do with your shrubs:
- make a collage
- cover them in paint and make prints
- hammer them
- make cyanotypes
- stamp them on pottery
- tie them into a butterfly
- [verb] them
